OUR STORY
Co-Founded by Matt Modina, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Griffin Mahon, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Ebbs & Flows was built with one mission: to support athletes through every phase of their journey.
Matt & Griff met through their shared passion for movement, performance, and helping people push their limits in a sustainable and intentional way. With Matt’s clinical background as a Physical Therapist and Griff’s expertise as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, they bring two sides of the performance equation: rehab and return to sport, and high level strength and athletic development.
Together, they created Ebbs & Flows to fill a gap they saw in the athletic world, that structured training & guidance end when a collegiate or professional career ends. This is for the athletes who still want to compete, evolve, and move with purpose — even after the spotlight fades.

GRIFFIN MAHON
CoFounder & Strength and Conditioning Coach
When in college Griffin found his love for helping others reach their full potential in the weight room, on the field, and in life. He graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology while playing 4 years of Baseball. Since College he has spent the last 6 Years as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist as well as a CrossFit Coach. He has had the ability to work with young athletes just getting into sports all the way to the professional level. A long side of his ability to work with high level athletes he has also worked with everyday athletes trying to improve their quality of life. Outside of the gym he enjoys living in Baltimore with his Girlfriend and 2 cats.
DR. MATT MODINA DPT
CoFounder & Physical Therapist
Born and raised in the Philippines and now based on the West Coast, Matt has spent his entire life around sports and brings a unique blend of clinical expertise, coaching experience, and athletic insight to every session. With a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and a background in strength training, plyometrics, sprint mechanics, and return-to-sport rehab, Matt bridges the gap between performance and recovery. His coaching style is intentional, grounded in science, and built on real-world athletic experience. On his leisure time, you’ll find him training, learning, or enjoying the simple things, like a good run, a solid lift, or a day outdoors.

Training only: Starts at $100/month
Training + Physical Therapy (PT): Starts at $200/month
(Custom pricing is available for athletes with specific needs.)

Once you enroll, you’ll have a goal-setting meeting with a coach. Within 24 hours of that meeting, you’ll receive access to our training app and your personalized program so you can start training right away.

Virtual PT emphasizes self-management strategies for athletes who are motivated and may have tight schedules. It includes:
Regular check-ins or assessments
Progress tracking
A scaled strengthening program tailored to support your return to sport or performance.

Each program lasts a minimum of one month. We offer discounts for longer contract commitments.

Your personalized program will be delivered through our training app, giving you convenient access anytime, anywhere.

You’ll receive a custom training plan complete with exercise descriptions and video demonstrations. You’ll have:
A monthly coaching call to review goals and address any questions
Direct access to coaches for workout modifications, guidance, or motivation
